UTask
UTask is a web application that connects clients with nearby service providers that offer the task (snow removal, pet walking) in Ottawa. I designed the data model (ERD), user flow, and a functional database (Entity Framework, Code First). I also developed the API back end as a .NET 6 Web API, a Single Page App for the front end using Vue.js and Vuetify, and an SQL Database built through Entity Framework’s code-first approach and deployed to Azure SQL database.
Auto Repair
This mobile application connects vehicle owners in Ottawa with local mechanics for on-demand repairs at their preferred location. I contributed to this application by developing a web scraper to scrape relevant data from the web, crafting a user-friendly interface (lofi prototype) using figma, and designing an Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) for the database. The app wass built with Xamarin, .NET, and SQL.
M&A Tracker
This project automates Mergers & Acquisition data collection for over 20,000 electronics manufacturers. It utilizes web scraping techniques to gather relevant news articles from the web, then extracts potential M&A events and verifies them against a MongoDB database to identify confirmed mergers and acquisitions. An analyst conducts a review and verifies the collected data to ensure that the company information of M&A activity within the electronics industry is accurate.
DMS Web Developer
Digital Main Street assists small businesses build a strong online presence quickly and efficiently. I was part of a 5-person team, including a digital marketer, a graphic designer, a UX/UI designer, and a copywriter, where I played a role as the WordPress developer.
During this experience, I developed websites for several small businesses using WordPress, Shopify, and Square content management systems. I also utilized Figma for design collaboration and Photoshop for image editing.
